Yoga Therapy
Yoga Therapy is a whole body approach which means working physically, mentally and emotionally towards a specific goal. Yoga therapy creates self agency to work with your strengths, whilst recognising any challenges and increases awareness of your physical body or nervous system- or both. Together, we design a home practice using the tools of yoga that can include postures & movement, breath work, mindfulness, meditation or visualisation practices and relaxation techniques.

The difference between a Yoga Class and Yoga Therapy is that Yoga Therapy is a collaboration between the yoga therapist and the client to support the healing. It promotes balance and self regulation through a prescriptive home practice that the client builds upon to improve their own wellbeing.

Yoga Therapy can help with the following issues:
Physical: Joint pain, Back pain, Neck pain, Muscular Skeletal issues, Arthritis, Scoliosis, Sciatica
Health: Digestion, Cancer, Fibromyalgia, Eating /Sleeping disorders, Headaches
Emotional: Anxiety, Depression, Grief, Neuro-diversity, Stress and Trauma

In your first session we discuss your goal, health/ lifestyle and design a home practice using appropriate techniques that you can accomplish. There is the option of follow up therapy sessions, where we can re-work the practice to continue with progress.

I work with children, adolescents and adults- sessions vary in application of yoga tools and time length depending on age.

Location is at my home studio or your own space, or possibly online.

** Please note that for teens & kids, I offer a sliding scale fee of £35-70 for 1st session & £ 25-50 for each follow up sessions depending on your situation
